About Me

Dr. Emily Reul is a board-certified physical therapist. She grew up in Southern California and moved to received a B.S. in Biology at the University of West Georgia and her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Nova Southeastern University in Tampa, FL. She worked as a physical in various settings before deciding to open Wings Physiotherapy.

Her love for physical therapy started in the sports realm as she played volleyball starting at age 11 and played through college and suffered from various injuries requiring physical therapy herself. Her love for pelvic health physical therapy was sparked in physical therapy school where she realized she could help a wide array of women who were unable to find answers within the traditional medical system. She is well aware of the impact of pelvic floor dysfunction as she suffered from pelvic floor issues as a child. She dealt with nocturnal incontinence (bed wetting) until the 6th grade trying everything from anti-depressant medications to nose sprays, but nothing worked. The doctors often told her parents just to wait and it would get better someday. It was embarrassing to be wetting the bed as a middle schooler. She also dealt with constipation and urinary frequency as a child and was frequently getting detention for always asking to go to the bathroom to pee.

To stay active, she now enjoys long distance running and hanging out with her energetic beagle, Tod.
